2018 Show Report

The show has been running under new management for three years. For each of those years we've been delighted with the number of entries, particularly as each year the weather has been less than ideal with challenging growing conditions.  Entries were slightly down on last year but the number of exhibitors was up considerably, boosted by entrants to the new Barrington Art Group classes. We were also pleased to see an increase in the number of young people who entered.  The craft classes were, as usual, well supported. This is the only category in the show that does not have its own trophy or award but this will change. In 2019 there will be a new award for craft, "The Barrington Pottery Trophy" sponsored by Paul and Marion at the pottery to celebrate their 10th anniversary at Barrington Court.

The Society's trophies were won by:

Barrington Gardening Society Trophy (men) - Eric Peadon

Barrington Gardening Society Trophy (women) - Bobbie Clarke

The Barrington Art Group Cup - Felicity Murray

The Olive Willey Cup - Alison Manuel

The Childrens Cup -  Harry Singleton

The Perpetual Challenge Cup - Elouise Paul

The Barrett Cup -  Eric Peadon

The Highclere Trophy -  Alison Manuel
